William H. Yang, MD, FRCPC FAAAAI is the Managing Director and Chairman of Red Maple Trials Inc., Ottawa Allergy Research Corporation, Yang Medicine Professional Corporation and National Capital Allergy Laboratory Services in Ottawa. He did his Allergy & Clinical Immunology research training at the Royal Victoria Hospital, McGill University under the late Dr. Bram Rose. His collective mentors were the late Dr. Leonard Moroz, the late Dr. Larry Goodfriend and Dr. Norbert Gilmore. His earlier research was in soybean anaphylaxis, circulating immune complexes during allergen immunotherapy and immunogenetics of ragweed allergy. Subsequent research was in metabisulfite allergy and adverse reaction to monosodium glutamate and aspartame.
Yang Medicine is recognized as the Center of Excellence in Hereditary Angioedema and Targeted Biologic Clinic. Currently, he is actively involved in clinical trials in inflammatory skin disorder such as chronic spontaneous urticaria and atopic dermatitis, hereditary angioedema, peanut allergy and severe bronchial asthma.
